No. 6 Episode 4

Ugh... This world is just TOO horrifying

3/5 Stars (Meh)
Best part: Shion's mom and her reactions
Worst part: Shion's stupid anger management....

Surprise buttsecks
I seriously can't find many redeeming qualities in this series other than the fact that it has an interesting setting. This episode had one purpose: to show the horrifying reality of the real world. I didn't see much horror.

Sure, there was violence and lawless control, but I didn't see anything terrifying or horrifying. Adding to this is the lack of impact within Shion's emotions. He seemed to not care at ALL about the atrocities in the real world. Instead, all of his focus was on Nezumi and this was shown when he went batshit crazy on that weirdo manwhore when all he did was insult Nezumi.

Personally I thought this was VERY stupid.
One: It's just an insult
Two: It's out of Shion's character
Three: It was an obvious setback to show some Yaoi share and care

I liked how Shion's mother kept sending messages and showed that she had some questioned No.6's authority and moral value. This was great foreshadowing and lends to the plot a sense of forward movement. But this was pretty much the only thing I liked about the episode.

I didn't really care about the Yaoi until it started ruining the characterization of the plot. People are acting weird and stupid under these Yaoi undertones and I just can't stand a story that fantasizes on it's pleasures rather than on its story. The creators just emphasized it WAY too much. The scene with the whore, the scene with the manwhore, the scene with the dogkeeper. They all were pointless banter that just bended itself to show how yaoi this series is.

It would work with a fanservicy story, but it's not a fanservicy story, it is a serious plot that arouses the themes that defile authoritarian societal problems. We don't need stupid yaoi for this kind of plot. I you're gonna put yaoi into a serious story, do it seriously instead of in commercial black and white.
Remember me? Oh wait. OF COURSE NOT!

You can say this about R-15, Yuru Yuri, and Mayo Chiki. These two have HORRIBLE stories. Their only purpose is to show off fanservice and moe. The only reason why I watch them is precisely because of that. But that doesn't mean I'll change their rating just because of my preferences. If the story is shit, then the story is shit. No. 6 deserves a story and plot that doesn't simmer within these consolations.

PLEASE, stop enforcing the Yaoi love, we get it already, just advance the plot!
